Geography of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is an Indian state with the area of 55,673 km and it ranked 17th. The neighbor bothered state is Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh. Himachal Pradesh represent Asia for having largest amount of glacier and because of the largest glacier, there are five rivers flow all over the India. The longest river is chandrabhaga or Chenab and the Yamuna is the smallest river. People of Himachal Pradesh are called Pahadi or Gurjjar. 
Climate of Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh is a hill station, so it will be cold enough. The coldest month is January and June is the hottest month. In Himachal Pradesh you will also find snowfall in the month of February to June. And some time it also rain on June.

Culture of Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh have a mix, traditional and colourful culture. Himachal Pradesh is famous for handcrafted things, all the tourist are inspired by the handcrafted things. The national fruit of Himachal Pradesh is Apple. People of Himachal Pradesh are called as pahadi or Gujjar. 90% people of Himachal Pradesh are Hindu. The traditional dress of Himachal Pradesh is Ghagra Choli, Salwaar Kameez. Buddhist people will found in Dharamshala and Mcleodganj. The folk dance of Himachal Pradesh is Dangi.
Cuisine of Himachal Pradesh
About the local people, The traditional food is Chana Madra. Dhaam is a item that who will find in every restaurant or any dhaba. This the very famous cuisine of Himachal Pradesh, it is made up of mixing different type of cereals and making it as a vegetable curry and eating it with rice. The staple food is Rice, wheat, maize. And the most eaten fruit is Apple and Kaphal.

Festivals of Himachal Pradesh 
Festival celebrated in Himachal Pradesh is Kullu Dussehra. It is the famous festival of Himachal Pradesh. In this festival people are used to do dance, Nati us the dance form. It is celebrated with traditional food and music.
They also celebrate Lohri in the season of winter.
Chet is the festival celebrated in first day of first month of lunar year. This was about traditional festival.
Himachal day is celebrated on 15th April after independence the province of chief commissioner become on April 15th 1948 celebrated every year. 
Agriculture 
Himachal is also known as apple state of India because it has a large amount of growth and production of Apple. Rice, mushrooms, wheat and olives are the staple food of Himachal Pradesh, and the Major crops of Himachal Pradesh are maize, red rice. Famous fruits are Mangoes, guava, Banana.

Politics 
As per 2021, Jairam Thakur is the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh from BJP. Last election held in Himachal Pradesh was in 2017. The Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh is Lingappa Narayana Swami.
Politics in Himachal Pradesh was started on 15th April 1948. The first CM of Himachal Pradesh was Yashwant Singh Parmar from INC Party.
